Mr. Mayer specializes in\u00a0 employment\/labor law, elder law, international corporate and commercial matters, banking and insurance regulation, joint ventures, finance, real estate transactions, and trade.\u00a0 He has acquired extensive legal and business experience assisting high-tech companies in all phases from incorporation through seed funding and eventually to exit.\u00a0 Mr. Mayer has represented leading international banking institutions and insurance companies in their licensing and regulatory matters.\u00a0 In addition, his experience in the corporate sector and embassy representation has made him well versed in labor law and its various nuances as they impact both domestic and foreign companies in Israel .\u00a0 Russell is in the process of developing the firm&#8217;s nanotechnology practice area.\u00a0 Finally, he regularly advises a number of foreign embassies and governments with respect to local Israeli law.<\/h3>\n<h3>Born in New York, U.S.A., Mr. Mayer received his J.D. degree from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law of Yeshiva University in 1981 and his M.B.A. from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem in 2022. Before Mr. Mayer moved to Israel in 1990, he served as in-house counsel for major New York money center commercial banks for over eight years where he specialized in corporate finance, bank regulatory matters and bankruptcy\/workouts.\u00a0 After moving to Israel and before founding the firm in 1998, he served as an Advocate\/Associate at a large law firm in Tel Aviv, from 1990 through 1998, where he specialized in corporate matters, international transactions, real estate, banking, labor law and litigation matters.<\/h3>\n<h2><strong>Russell&#8217;s authored publications:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3>the Israel chapter of the treatise \u201c<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">International Employment Law<\/span>\u201d<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>the Israeli section of\u00a0a treatise\u00a0on data protection and privacy law entitled &#8220;<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Global Privacy and Security Law<\/span>&#8220;<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>the Israeli chapter of an international treatise on securing debt obligations entitled &#8220;<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">International Secured Transactions<\/span>&#8220;<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>an article entitled &#8220;<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Capital Adequacy Requirements for Israeli Banks: the Impact of the Basel II Accord<\/span>&#8221; which was published in the international publication &#8220;Law and Financial Markets Review<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>the Israeli chapter of an international treatise on antitrust entitled &#8220;<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Mergers and Acquisitions in North America, Latin America, Asia and the Pacific, Selected Issues and Jurisdictions<\/span>&#8220;<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>co-authored &#8220;<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Joint Ventures in Israel<\/span>\u201d\u00a0&#8211; \u00a0International Bar Association Seminar<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>contributor of legal articles to\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Times of Israel Newspaper<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>was a regular contributor of legal columns to\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">YNET On-line Newspaper<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>was a regular legal columnist for\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Connections Magazine<\/span>\u00a0for over 4 years.<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>He is a lecturer on legal matters at AACI and\u00a0Nefesh B&#8217;Nefesh.\u00a0 Russell was instrumental in drafting revisions to the United States&#8217; Uniform Commercial Code with respect to payment systems.<\/h3>\n<h3>Mr. Mayer is a member of the Israel Bar and\u00a0the New York State Bar and is a member of the Israel Bar Association\u2019s Committee on Intellectual Property as well as its Banking Law Committee.
